| Reverse description | Jupiter enthroned facing left, his powerful figure rendered in the classical Capitoline tradition. In his extended right hand he holds a small figure of Victory, and in his left hand a long vertical sceptre. The god is depicted semi-draped, with drapery across his lower body and legs. The legend IOVI VICTORI appears in the field, with the senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consulto) prominently displayed in the lower field to either side of the throne, affirming the senate's role in authorising bronze coinage. |
