Reverse description The reverse displays the large senatorial authorization monogram S·C (Senatus Consulto) prominently centered in the field, rendered in bold raised letters occupying most of the coin's surface. The full imperial titulature of Tiberius runs continuously around the periphery in a circular legend within a dotted border, affirming his role as emperor, pontifex maximus, and holder of tribunician power for the thirty-eighth time. The plain field surrounding the SC is slightly concave, a typical characteristic of Tiberian aes coinage struck at Rome.
