(Translation: Agrippina Augusta Germanici Filia Caesaris Augusti. Empress (Augusta) Agrippina, daughter of Germanicus, [spouse] of emperor (Augustus) Caesar.)
Reverse description A carpentum — an ornate two-wheeled ceremonial carriage — drawn leftward by two mules, depicted in profile. The carpentum features an elaborately decorated superstructure with an arched canopy adorned with figured panels and ornamental detail, consistent with the type of carriage reserved for the wives and mothers of emperors in imperial Rome. The scene is contained within a beaded border, and the field is otherwise plain. No reverse legend appears on this issue, the type itself serving as the primary honorific statement.
