Obverse description Laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, with bare chest and traces of drapery visible on the far shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic Hadrianic portrait style, with a short beard and idealized features. The obverse legend encircles the bust along the outer border of the flan.

Reverse description A galley prow facing right occupies the central field, depicted in profile with the characteristic curved ram (rostrum) projecting forward and oar banks rendered in low relief along the hull. The reverse legend is distributed in the field around the type, with S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed, confirming senatorial authorization for the issue. The overall design follows the traditional Roman semis iconography linking naval imagery to Roman imperial power.
