| Obverse description | Laureate bare-chested bust of Hadrian facing right, with traces of drapery visible on the far shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the classicising portrait style characteristic of Hadrianic coinage, with finely detailed hair beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling legend reads IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG in Roman capitals. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered semisses of this period. |
