Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Caligula (Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus) facing right, rendered in the provincial Roman style. The portrait displays characteristic features of the emperor with a laurel wreath encircling the head. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading C CAESAR AVG GERMANIC IMP P M TR P COS, recording his imperial titles. The fields show the typical patina and surface texture of a hammered provincial bronze issue. The overall style reflects the municipal coinage tradition of Carthago Nova during the Julio-Claudian period.

Reverse description Draped bust of Salus facing right, depicted as a divine personification in the provincial Roman artistic tradition. The goddess is shown with her hair arranged in a style typical of Julio-Claudian female portraiture. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads CN ATEL FLAC CN POM FLC II VIR QVINC SAL AVG, identifying the two quinquennial duoviri magistrates — Cn. Atellius Flaccus and Cn. Pompeius Flaccus — responsible for the issue, along with the reverse type designation SAL AVG (Salus Augusta). The coin was struck under local municipal authority at Carthago Nova (modern Cartagena, Spain). Surface shows green patination consistent with ancient bronze coinage.
