Obverse description Bare male head facing right, identified as possibly Augustus, rendered in a provincial style characteristic of Hispanian municipal coinage of the Augustan period. The effigy occupies the central field of the flan, with the legend OSSET disposed around the periphery. The portraiture is relatively schematic, consistent with local die-cutting traditions of Colonia Iulia Constantia Osset. The coin's surface shows heavy patination typical of bronze issues from the region.
