Reverse description Central device depicts the figure of Christ bound to a column of the flagellation, shown frontally with arms outstretched and head bowed, rendered in a deeply expressive late-Renaissance style. The figure stands upon a stepped or decorated platform base. The surrounding Latin legend SI · LABORATIS · EGO · REFICIAM, separated by a cross pattée ornament, translates as 'If you are weary, I will refresh you,' a devotional motto drawn from Matthew 11:28. The coin is struck within a beaded border, with the legend occupying the full circumference of the reverse field.
