| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the Spanish-style shield bearing the bipartite coat of arms of Zürich (per fess, the upper half charged with a lion and the lower half with diagonal stripes) occupies the central field. A cross fleury is visible behind the escutcheon. The Latin legend encircles the design between the inner beaded border and an outer beaded rim, reading MON : NO : T HVRICENSIS, identifying this as a new coin of Zürich. |
