Reverse description Half-length figure of Saint Wolfgang, patron saint of Zug, depicted frontally in episcopal vestments including a mitre, holding a model of a church in his left hand and a crozier or scepter in his right. The saint is rendered in a stylized, slightly archaic Gothic manner typical of Swiss cantonal billon coinage of the late 16th century. The circular Latin legend SANCT + WOLFGANG + surrounds the central figure along the periphery of the coin.
