Obverse description A schematically rendered standing figure depicted facing or in profile, positioned upon a crescent-shaped boat in the lower field. The figure extends both arms outward, each hand grasping a cross-headed staff or processional cross, forming a strongly symmetrical, hieratic composition. The treatment is characteristic of Early Anglo-Saxon hammered die-work, with bold, deeply cut lines and minimal surface detail. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription present.

Reverse description A bird, rendered in a bold and schematic Anglo-Saxon style, is depicted in right profile with its beak inclined downward in a pecking attitude, set within an interlaced vine-scroll or foliate tendril motif. The vine branches extend organically around the bird, filling the field in a manner consistent with the insular decorative tradition of the period. Pellet details are visible on and around the bird's body, adding texture to the composition. The field is otherwise plain, with no legend or inscription.
