| Obverse description | Irregular square flan bearing multi-line Arabic legend in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style typical of Kashmir Sultanate coinage. The field carries the royal titles and name of the sultan arranged across the flan in several registers. The inscription reads 'al-Sultan al-A'zam Muhammad Shah' together with the regnal year 846 AH, rendered in an angular Naskh script. The surfaces show characteristic die-struck relief with uneven flan edges and natural striking irregularities.
