Obverse description The field is entirely covered in an incuse repeating text pattern of the name SACOR and the Roman numeral date MCMLXI arranged in horizontal rows. Superimposed in high relief at the centre is a cross formed by five Portuguese escutcheons, each bearing the quinas (five blue shields with white bezants), replicating the national arms arrangement.
