Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian poetic religious legend in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in three horizontal registers across the field. The inscription invokes the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi (Sahib al-Zaman), and glorifies the sun and moon as symbols of divine authority. The lettering is deeply struck with vigorous, flowing strokes characteristic of late Zand and early Qajar coinage. The flan edges are irregular, as typical of hand-struck Persian rupees of the period. No pictorial device or effigy is present, the entire design being devoted to the sacred textual legend.
