| Reverse description | The reverse displays a central cartouche with a two-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script giving the mint name 'Shiraz' and the regnal year 1162 AH. The cartouche is framed by a beaded border and flanked by floral rosette ornaments at the lower left and right, a decorative motif characteristic of Afsharid Shiraz mint coinage. The field surrounding the cartouche is plain and slightly worn, consistent with circulation use. The overall composition is well-centered within a raised rim. |
