Obverse description The obverse presents bold Naskh-style Arabic calligraphy arranged in three horizontal registers divided by ruled lines across the coin's field. The central panel bears the principal legend invoking the Mughal imperial title, with the name and epithet of the nominal sovereign Muhammad Bahadur Shah prominently displayed. The script is deeply struck and characteristically bold, filling the flan to the edges, with the AH date appearing in the lower register. The overall style follows the traditional Hyderabad State rupee format, imitating the Mughal coin tradition.
