Reverse description Central field features a pointed lobed cartouche with a beaded border enclosing the mint name and regnal year in two lines of nastaliq script. The cartouche, of characteristic Zand-period diamond or ogival form, sits within a broad flat field that is otherwise unadorned. The beaded frame of the cartouche is clearly defined, and the surrounding field shows the smooth, slightly convex surface typical of well-struck hammered rupees of this series.
