| Obverse description | Central field displays the elaborate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Mahmud II enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A broad outer annulus carries Arabic inscriptions in flowing script, all contained within a finely beaded border. The tughra is rendered in the traditional Ottoman calligraphic style, dominating the design with its characteristic looped and foliated strokes. |
