Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Emperor Peter II facing right, with long flowing curled wig rendered in elaborate Baroque style. The emperor wears armour with decorative gorget and an order chain or sash visible at the truncation. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field. A Cyrillic legend encircles the portrait close to the toothed border, reading the emperor's title.

Reverse description Central design composed of four interlocked Cyrillic letters П arranged in a cross pattern, with the numeral II at each corner of the cross, forming a monogram of Peter II. Imperial crowns flank the arms of the cross on both sides. The denomination РУБЛЬ and the date 17 27, split across the lower field, appear within the surrounding Cyrillic circular legend. The overall design is bold and heraldic in character.
