Reverse description A bold Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, each head crowned separately and surmounted by a single large Imperial crown above; the breast bears a shield charged with the mounted figure of St. George slaying the dragon. The eagle holds an orb in its right talon and a sceptre in its left. The central device is encircled by a wreath of laurel and oak, with the mint mark С.П.Б. (St. Petersburg) inscribed in the lower field beneath the eagle. The circumferential Cyrillic legend, separated by pellets, records the precise fine silver content of the coin in zolotniks and dolyas, with the denomination РУБЛЬ prominently displayed at the base.
