Reverse description A crowned Imperial double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, each head bearing a small crown, the whole surmounted by a large Imperial crown. The eagle's breast bears a shield with the Moscow horseman device. The date 1730 appears to the left of the eagle and the word РУБЛЬ (Rouble) to the left, with МОНЕТА (Coin) to the upper right, the full legend encircling the design along the rim. The composition is bold and heraldic, consistent with early eighteenth-century Russian coinage design.
