Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Tsar Peter I (Peter the Great), depicted in armor with an elaborately decorated breastplate and flowing mantle, his long curly hair falling to the shoulders in the Western Baroque style. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the facial features and drapery. The Cyrillic legend arcs around the upper periphery and continues along the right field, reading the ruler's name and title as an acronym. The coin is bordered by a fine reeded inner rim.
