Reverse description A crowned Imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread, holding a sceptre in the right talon and an orb surmounted by a cross in the left talon. A single crown surmounts the two heads above. The mint mark МД appears in the lower field flanking the eagle's tail feathers. The Cyrillic circular legend surrounding the eagle denotes the denomination and date, with a noted reversed Э in the Cyrillic date on the 1705 МД variety. The rim is defined by a beaded border.
