Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Peter I facing right, wearing an ermine-trimmed mantle decorated with the star of the Order of Saint Andrew, the truncation showing armor beneath. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque portrait style. A Cyrillic legend encircles the bust, reading from the upper right around the full periphery of the coin. Dot separators punctuate the inscription at intervals.
