Reverse description Central device features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head surmounted by a crown and the whole beneath a third larger imperial crown above. The eagle holds a scepter in its right talon and an orb in its left talon, with a decorative fleur-de-lis-style ornament at the breast. The Cyrillic legend surrounding the device denotes the denomination and date. The composition is bold and heraldic, consistent with Petrine-era coinage design.
