| Obverse description | Three interlocked cast bronze rings conjoined in a trefoil arrangement, each ring formed as an open loop with irregular, organically textured surfaces and pronounced knob-like terminals at their open ends. The rings are interlinked so that each passes through the other two, creating a unified tripartite structure. The bronze surface displays a rich green patina consistent with prolonged burial, with areas of darker oxidation accentuating the casting seams and surface irregularities. The form is entirely aniconic, bearing no inscriptions, legends, or figural imagery, reflecting its purely utilitarian and pre-monetary function as a medium of exchange in the Celtic Danubian region. |
