Reverse description Central design features a crowned lined orb bearing the Three Crowns of Sweden, encircled by the Chain of the Order of the Seraphim. The pendant of the chain falls below the orb, flanking the date and mintmaster's initials (O.L.) on either side. The fractional denomination 1/3 RD: appears at the left and right of the orb, and above the crown is inscribed the King's patriotic motto FÄDERNESLANDET. The composition is neatly contained within the chain's circular link, giving the reverse a heraldic and ornate character.
