Reverse description The crowned provincial shield of Holland, bearing a rampant lion, is displayed centrally beneath an elaborate ornate tournament helmet adorned with scrolling mantling and acanthus-style foliate flourishes. The helmet is surmounted by a crest, and the entire heraldic composition is framed by a beaded inner circle, with the circular legend distributed around the outer border. The engraving exhibits the characteristic bold, deeply-cut style of the Dordrecht mint workshop of this period.
