Obverse description Armored bust of Emperor Rudolph II facing right, holding an upright sword in his right hand. The mint mark appears at the top of the field. Two small provincial shields flank the legend, positioned to the left and right of the effigy, dividing the circular Latin inscription. The portrait displays elaborate Renaissance-style harness with fine engraved detailing characteristic of late 16th-century hammered coinage.
