Obverse description A heroic nude horseman wearing a winged helmet rides to the left on a white horse, holding a bow upright in his left hand and presenting a crown in his raised right hand. In the lower field, a dense column of marching soldiers with flags is depicted in low relief beneath the horse. The Roman numeral date MCMXIV appears in the exergue, with an engraver's monogram at the lower rim.
