Obverse description Philip the Good depicted in full armor astride a horse galloping to the right, his right arm raised and brandishing a sword; the horse and rider are rendered in the Gothic equestrian style characteristic of Burgundian coinage. The field is plain, and the province name HANN appears in the exergue below the horse. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the circumferential legend in uncial Gothic lettering running between two beaded borders.
