| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the Arabic legend 'السلطان نادر' (al-Sultan Nadir) rendered in bold nasta'liq calligraphy, the letters intricately intertwined and occupying the full width of the design. The inscription is enclosed within a prominent circular beaded border, characteristic of Afsharid hammered coinage.
