| Reverse description | The reverse bears the Shia Islamic declaration of faith arranged in multiple horizontal lines across the coin's field in bold Nasta'liq script, the text filling the flan without an enclosing frame. The shahada and its Shia extension — affirming the oneness of God, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the guardianship of Ali — are rendered in high-relief calligraphy with pronounced stroke weight. Pellet ornaments and small floral devices are interspersed between the lines of text as decorative fillers, a hallmark of Afsharid hammered silver coinage. The flan is slightly irregular at the edges, consistent with the hand-cut planchet and hammer-striking methodology of the period. No mint name or date appears on this face, these being reserved for the obverse. |
