| Reverse description | Full-length standing figure of Liberty, crowned with a radiate Phrygian-style crown, facing slightly left and resting her left arm upon a rectangular stone tablet inscribed 'LIBERTÉ'. Her right arm is raised, holding a laurel branch. The composition is flanked on both sides by ornamental olive branches in high relief. The dates '1789' and '1989' appear in the field to the left and right respectively, commemorating the bicentennial of the French Revolution. Below the central figure, the Roman numeral date 'MCMLXXXVI' is incised, with the mint mark and 'BR FLO' (Bronze Florentin) appearing along the lower rim within a beaded border. |
