| Reverse description | A bald eagle in full flight, wings spread wide, soaring to the left above radiating sunrays that fill the lower field, closely replicating the reverse design of the original Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. The legend UNITED·STATES·OF·AMERICA arcs along the upper border, with TWENTY·DOLLARS inscribed below it. The fineness mark 585 appears to the right, and the word COPY is prominently displayed in an oval cartouche at the center of the eagle's body, as required by the Hobby Protection Act. The motto IN·GOD·WE·TRUST is inscribed in the lower exergue. |

This is a modern replica, not a genuine Saint-Gaudens issue. The original $20 gold piece, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens at Theodore Roosevelt's personal insistence, was struck in high relief for 1907 — a production nightmare that required up to nine strikes per coin and was abandoned for commercial minting within months.
