Additional information

A modern replica of the Qing dynasty provincial machine-struck dollar-sized coinage issued under the Guangxu Emperor, a series that marked China's first serious engagement with Western minting technology in the 1880s and 1890s. The originals were produced at provincial mints equipped with imported British machinery, with Guangdong leading the program before other provinces followed.

The copper-nickel plated steel construction places this firmly outside any serious reference collection.
