| Additional information |
Yugoslavia hosted the Mediterranean Games in Split in 1979, and this issue was produced in the lead-up year as part of a broader commemorative program. The original silver KM#62 was struck for collectors; this brass replica exists outside that official series entirely, produced for distribution at a price point accessible to domestic audiences during a period when hard currency coins were largely kept out of everyday Yugoslav hands.
