The original 500 Cash pieces issued at the founding of the Republic of China in 1912 were emergency large-denomination copper coins, produced as the new government scrambled to establish a functioning monetary system following the Qing collapse. This is a replica. Without provenance linking it to a specific authorized reissue program, it carries no numismatic premium beyond its curiosity value as a reference piece.
