Reverse description Central field features a stylised ornamental plant or fleur-de-lis motif with elaborate scrolling volutes rising symmetrically from a central stem, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The base of the design shows a wavy line suggesting water, from which the decorative plant emerges. The mint marks of the Royal Dutch Mint appear at the lower centre below the wavy base. The border is composed of pointed dentils replicating the style of the original 17th-century Surinamese prototype.
