| Reverse description | A sinuous Chinese imperial dragon occupies the central field, depicted in high relief facing forward with scales, horns, and clawed feet prominently rendered. Flaming pearl and foliate ornaments flank the creature on either side. The upper peripheral legend reads TWENTY SECOND YEAR OF KUANG HSU in Latin characters, while the lower legend reads PEI YANG ARSENAL, flanked by five-pointed stars. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border and a dentilated outer rim, consistent with late Qing machine-struck dollar-type coinage. |
