Reverse description The bale mark of the East India Company in relief at centre: a heart-shaped device divided by a saltire, with the letters V, E, I, C in the four quadrants and a cross above, all within a plain inner circle. A broad flat rim carries the incuse circular legend, with the date 1794 appearing in the lower field below the inner circle.
