Reverse description The Duke of Marlborough on horseback tramples defeated enemies underfoot at the centre of the composition, with routed French soldiers and fallen figures surrounding him; to the right, supplicant figures present keys in submission, while a city skyline appears in the left background. The legend arcs across the upper field and continues in a multi-line inscription in the lower exergue.
