Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Louis XVI with elaborate powdered wig and ribbon bow at the nape, set within a beaded border. The circumferential legend reads LUD.XVI.D G.FR. ET. NAV. REX, with REICH appearing in the lower exergual area. This is a Nuremberg-made Rechenpfennig (reckoning counter) bearing the portrait of the French king.
