Obverse description Emperor Leopold I, in armour and flowing wig, is depicted nearly facing in a triumphal quadriga driven at speed; a winged genius in the right foreground leads the horses by the reins while holding a heraldic shield; behind the emperor, captive Turks are visible and a broken Ottoman crescent lies on the ground. In the upper field, the radiant Eye of God emerges from clouds, with the Latin legend running along the border.
