| Obverse description | Crowned bust of Ferdinand II facing left, rendered in a crude late-medieval hammered style typical of Sardinian billon coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the crown clearly distinguishable above the head. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading FERDINANDO DEI GRACIA, invoking the king's title by divine grace. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, as is characteristic of hammered issues of this period and denomination. |
