| Obverse description | Enthroned frontal effigy of King Sancho I of Majorca, crowned and robed, holding a sceptre in his right hand and an orb in his left, set within a beaded inner circle. The king is depicted in a hieratic, Gothic style typical of early 14th-century Aragonese coinage. The surrounding legend reads + SANCIUS : DEI : GRA : REX : MAIORICARUM, separated by pellets and arranged between the inner beaded border and the outer cable border. |
