Obverse description Enthroned frontal effigy of King Sancho I of Majorca, crowned and robed, holding a sceptre in his right hand and an orb in his left, set within a beaded inner circle. The king is depicted in a hieratic, Gothic style typical of early 14th-century Aragonese coinage. The surrounding legend reads + SANCIUS : DEI : GRA : REX : MAIORICARUM, separated by pellets and arranged between the inner beaded border and the outer cable border.

Reverse description A bold plain cross pattée at centre, dividing the field into four quarters, each decorated with a trefoil or floral ornament at the angles, enclosed within a quadrilobe frame composed of four rounded lobes adorned with small pellets. The design is framed by a beaded inner border and an outer cable border. The circumferential legend reads + CO : ROSIL : CERITANIE : DNS : MONTISPL, referring to Sancho's titles as Count of Roussillon and Cerdagne and Lord of Montpellier.
