Reverse description Central field is quartered by a plain cross, dividing the space into four quarters alternately depicting a castle (for Castile) and a lion passant (for León), rendered in a bold Gothic style consistent with Castilian-Leonese heraldic coinage of the late 15th century. The cross extends to the inner circle, forming a strong quartered composition. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the design along the outer border. The flan shows the typical irregularity of hammered silver production, with some weakness at the edges.
