Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's mature, strongly modeled features — including a broad forehead, prominent brow, and short neck — are consistent with authenticated Vespasianic portraiture. The circular Latin legend IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible on this irregularly struck specimen. The flan shows characteristic hammered irregularity with darkened silver patina.
