| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, with light drapery on the left shoulder, rendered in the naturalistic portraiture style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's mature features — including his strong brow, pronounced cheekbones, and close-cropped hair — are clearly articulated in high relief. A laurel wreath crowns the head, denoting imperial and military authority. The surrounding Latin legend runs clockwise along the rim of the flan. The striking is slightly off-centre, as is typical of hammered quinarii of this period. |
