| Reverse description | Victory personified stands facing left, her large spread wings prominently displayed behind her, holding a wreath extended forward in her right hand and a palm branch in her left hand. The figure is rendered in the flowing drapery typical of Trajanic reverse types, with the palm branch resting against her left shoulder. The encircling Latin legend P M TR P COS VI P P S P Q R runs around the periphery of the flan. The composition fills the compact flan of the quinarius format, with Victory occupying the full height of the reverse field. The die work is bold and consistent with the Rome mint production of the 114–117 AD period. |
